Those who live daily with children know the difficulty of introducing nutritious foods into their meals. Even so, it is necessary for adults to seek to circumvent these obstacles by methods that draw them into a healthy life.
Concerned with this difficulty and with the healthy growth of apprentices, the "Create and Recreate" school felt the need to open a space to give its learners easy-to-understand information about the practice of Food Education.
The Create offers balanced nutrition that meets the needs of each child. All meals and workshops are accompanied by the nutritionist Tayana Souza and her team, who prepares a monthly menu for apprentices according to their restrictions and needs.
"It is at school that children spend most of their day, and here they participate in lectures, activities and workshops on healthy eating. These actions constitute an important means of information for the formation of healthy eating habits, "said Tayana Souza.
In workshops, children learn in practice how to make a healthy recipe, the nutritionist explains the importance of each ingredient for health and then the little ones get their hands on the dough and make the recipe.
According to Tayana, some children are reluctant and do not want to eat fruits and vegetables, but with a playful "balcony" the fruits lose their original shape and become stars, hearts and moon, making the apprentice take a liking for food because of new format.
Concerned also with the feeding of the apprentices at home, the nutritional team of Create and Recreate provides a menu for parents to take and put into practice what was passed in the school.
"Food education has an important role in promoting healthy eating habits since childhood, which involves modifications and improvements in the medium and long term," said nutritionist Tayana Souza.
